Miles oversees all of S & S Recovery, Inc. He began his career in collections in 1994 as a collector and was soon promoted to department manager where he had direct contact with clients as well as managing staff. Miles ventured into the sales department with the desire to expand S & S Recovery, Inc. Successfully doing so while maintaining balance of quality and quantity he became President. He takes great pride in being the visionary behind the success and happiness of both clients and staff.
Shelly oversees development and compliance of collection staff with focus on increased collection productivity for all clients. She also assists all staff in daily operations. A collection industry veteran, Shelly began her career in 1989 in an entry level position skip-tracing. She has first hand knowledge of what it’s like to sit behind a collection desk and to successfully manage and motivate a collection staff. She has an appreciation and understanding of the business from the ground up and looks forward to continuing development and growth in an ever changing industry.
John began his career in the collection industry in 1999 as a collector. He left the industry and became an entrepreneur in the flooring industry owning his own business. It was during this time he recognized his talent with sales and decided to mesh that talent with his collection experience. He truly enjoys the relationship building aspect of his department. John helps design all of our marketing material and is the face of the company at many of our conferences.
Jennifer’s love of numbers molded her career for the past 39 years. She began in 1972, landing her first accounting position which started her on her journey. She has spent the last eleven years with S & S Recovery, Inc. Prior to joining S & S Recovery, Inc she had the privilege of working for two other collection agencies accumulating 26 years which focused on the collection industry alone. In 1984 she was the “first” Flight Administration Cre Travel Audit Clerk for FedEx. Accounting, auditing, and attention to detail has led the way for a good working relationship with our clients and vendors alike. Being involved with the day to day operations, Jennifer is very instrumental in the flow of certain departments here at S & S Recovery, Inc. and a benefit for other management staff.
Ms. Herndon is S & S Recovery’s Chief Legal Officer and the most recent addition to the S & S Recovery team. She oversees all aspects of legal compliance for the company, including but not limited to making sure the company is compliant with current case law decisions ,the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Ms. Herndon also remains the first point of contact should any legal issue or dispute arise. Prior to her employment at S & S Recovery, Inc., Ms. Herndon was in private practice in Memphis, Tennessee, associating with Hodges & Hodges, Attorneys and The Childress Firm, PLLC, on a variety of cases. Ms. Herndon received her Juris Doctor at Mississippi College School of Law and her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Summerlin has worked in the Information Technology industry for over 15 years. He started working for a large call center that supported Fortune 500 companies, providing technical support to the company. Mr. Summerlin continued to study and learn enterprise level IT throughout the years. About 10 years ago, Mr. Summerlin started working for Eperformax Inc. At the time he started working for Eperfomax, the company was a 400+ seat Call Center located in Memphis, Tennessee, providing customer support for many private companies. Over the years, he has moved from a System Administrator role within Eperformax to handling the procurement of all IT equipment for both the current US operations, as well as the larger overseas operations located in the Philippines. Mr. Summerlin has always enjoyed IT management which has led him to support multiple other companies while still maintaining his Eperformax position. Mr. Summerlin currently oversees the $1 Million+ yearly IT budget for ePerformax, as well as maintaining multiple IT environments locally here in Memphis.
Jason helps manage and organize collection staff, assists with departmental development and is the bridge between our staff and our clients. He began his collections career in 1994 as an entry level collector and was soon promoted to special projects manager. Jason’s ability to communicate, evaluate and find resolutions have proven to be very valuable assets to us and our clients.
Craig Harris is responsible for fostering new client relationships for S&S Recovery. He has more than 17 years of business development experience in the higher education industry and specializes in forming strategic alliances that add value to each school relationship. He demonstrates an ability to analyze, interpret and implement the best solutions for his clients and approaches his job with poise and enthusiasm.
Craig has participated and presented at numerous conferences over the past several years and will continue to support national and state associations for S&S Recovery. Craig earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston – Downtown.
Michael is tasked with providing legal administrative support to our clients with the guidance of ACA approved collection attorneys. He’s involved in researching legal precedent, investigating facts and keeping a professional contact of a caseload of over 50 clients. He earned a BBA of Business degree from the University of Mississippi. His previous employers included First American Bank of Washington D.C. and Time Warner Cable.
